Review of Underworld Awakening
I love this series and so glad Kate Beckinsale is in them.
Who would win between a werewolf and vampire? Since I hate werewolves, I gotta go with today’s modern vampire.
They should do more superhuman sht like jumping off that building and superhero landings, like Trinity from Matrix.
Opening act Raze transforms into werewolf at will, no more need of 3 days of the full moon to transform. Dude should not have let him transform and increase strength. Later, Selene will state that bullets fired by vamps were silver and wouldn’t kill the dogs only keep them from transforming so the vamps could finish them off. That’s another thing… a gun battle between vamps and dogs.
This scene as well as others is what I now call the million bullets. They hit everywhere except the target.
What’s weird about changing the legends of Vamps and dogs, she said the dogs can now transform at will, (otherwise it would be a slaughter), but sunlight still has its effect on vamps.
Just saying.
And the innovation of light bullets. Took a smart dog to do that.
Part of vamps legend is: turn invisible, fly, they are supposed to have some ESP, know your thoughts, see where you are, lure you with mind control, disappear, move lightning fast, very strong, confuse you, super hearing, vulnerable to all sunlight, coffin during the day for total darkness so no exposure to any light. Stake to the heart, (or chest where heart would be) if removed they come back to life. Head removal, fire, and sunlight were permanent. They don’t breath so they can’t drown. And if they are heartless, why do they need blood. These have been tampered with to the degree nobody knows them anymore.
Hell, they used to be scary. Oh yeah, permission to enter.
I was watching “Lazarus” 2017 earlier today and had one of those why is his voice familiar moments. Just happened to be Shane Brolly, or Kraven from Underworld. Didn’t even have to look him up. Then to my pleasant surprise, Tubi went and loaded up the Underworld series.
